Why Drink Wine?
Beside the fact that every wine is slightly different, it is refreshing, enjoyable, and is believed, "Wine is good for you. It thins the blood, makes food taste better, and helps you feel alive". You may think, any liquid will thin the blood, salt makes food taste better and a cold shower will help you feel alive. However, there are true health benefits with moderate wine drinking. Alcohol’s health benefit is centered mainly with the cardiovascular system - reflected dramatically in reduced risks of atherosclerotic heart attacks, and ischemic strokes. Red wine, in particular, contains polyphenols, such as catechin and resveratrol, found in grape skins and seeds, which have anti oxidants and anti cancer properties. Anti oxidants are found in grapes, raspberries, peanuts, pomegranate juice, and other plants. What would you rather have, a glass of pomegranate juice, a peanut, or a glass of your favorite red wine? I thought so. For more
