Temecula Valley is located 60 miles North of San Diego and 90 miles East of Los Angeles. The valley is ideal for vineyards with its hot summer days and cool evenings supported by ocean air currents from the Pacific Ocean. The area is gaining recognition as the the fastest growing winery center in Southern California. There are now over 32 wineries in the area. Up 40% from just over four years ago. The region is multifacited with excellent offerings of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, a Petite Syrah here and there, and a mixture of Roses and Desert Wines. Most wineries charge a nominal fee for the tasting and a souvenir glass.
