Was founded by Jess Jackson in 1982, and is located North of Santa Rosa just as Highway 101 crosses into Russian River Valley. Driving up to the magnificent Chateau, one drives along the vineyards on this 120-acre estate, past the culinary and sensory gardens and up to the viticulture exhibit. A leisurely walk along the plush gardens and fountain to the Chateau is a gardener's dream, which leads to anticipation of what's in store. Guided tours of the grounds are provided three times a day expressing the founder's commitment to fine wine and the importance of educating his wine tasters. Take your glass of wine and stroll through the white and red wine sensory gardens to educate yourself on the aromas and flavors described by the winemaker. The grounds also provide flowers, fruits, herbs, spices and vegetables to heighten your senses. Moving inside the Chateau, you will find a delicious assortment of wine and wine menus. The preferred menu is the reserve wine and food pairing by Executive Chef Justin Wangler. For a nominal fee, the tasting consists of upper-tier and vineyard designated wines along with savory favorites as Smoked Liberty Farms Duck Breast with Dried Blueberry Syrah Compote. If you prefer to only taste the wine, Kendall-Jackson Winery can accommodate that request on the estate or in their tasting room in Healdsburg. We recommend the estate if at all possible.
