Promotes one of the most friendly and comfortable atmospheres in the Shenandoah Valley. Female owner, Marilynn Hoopes and female winemaker, Dawn Martella, not only provide an excellent wine tasting experience, they also provides a unique and exciting twist to the wine industry. All the wines are named after daughters and granddaughters. La Petite Rachel Syrah, Empress Julie Ann Barbera, and La Petite Angie Zinfandel are only some of the exceptional wines with unique names found at Karmere - don't worry, the tractor is named after the grandson, and he's cool with that. If you time it right, Dawn will provide a barrel tasting of the upcoming Barbara, Zinfandel and two Syrah offerings. Predicting the future, we are definitely looking at another great wine year. The tasting room provides a panoramic view of the vineyard and winery through full-length windows and an endless patio. Actually, the patio ends at a driving range platform. Ever drive a golf ball into a vineyard? Come enjoy the hospitality, wine and fun at Karmere Vineyards and Winery. Return to Sierra Foothills Appellation
