Is a must stop on your wine tasting trails. The well-manicured grounds lead to one of the most friendly and exciting tasting rooms in the county. The family owned winery is celebrating 35 years of successfully providing award winning wines to very satisfied customers. And award winning does not necessarily mean expensive. The 2005 Heritage Zinfandel is a Gold Metal winner at the Monterey Wine Competition, the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the Los Angeles Wine Competition, is a great value a $16.00. Other exciting award winning wines are the 2003 Meritage - a blend of 52% Merlot, 41% Cab, 3% Malbec, 2% Petite Verdot and 2% Cab Franc - and the 2004 Saralee's Vineyard Chardonnay - "Luscious and creamy with notes of crème brulee, apple custard and pear...". With a wine like that, who needs cake and ice cream? The family is as passionate about sailing as they are about wine, therefore a line of "Regatta Wines" is made with a portion of the proceeds going to US Sailing, the national governing body of the sport of sailing. Their wine labels, glasses, plaques, and literature all have the sailing ship logo. If you are a sailing enthusiast, a wine enthusiast or both, docking at Dry Creek Vineyard is a refreshing treat for all your land bound voyages. Return to Sonoma Appellation
