Is located on the northern side of 101 in a newly opened tasting room, May of 2007. The tasting bar is meticulously constructed of fine stained wood, with a heavy topcoat providing an Old World feel and look. A quaint, roadside, covered, seating area is provided in front of this stylishly converted and insulated Quonset style hut. The highlight of the wine tasting is the exemplary Pinot Noir offerings. The '05, three grapes blend from Santa Rita Hills is a Wine Enthusiast 91 point wine, and the Turner Vineyard, Santa Rita Hills, is a 94 point Wine Enthusiast award winner. Both are full of fruit with excellent balance and finish. The Turner Vineyard Pinot Noir is a fantastic wine now, and will definitely continue to improve with age. I can't wait. The wonderful staff at Carr Vineyard and Winery exemplifies new wine offerings, a new tasting room and an enduring enthusiasm for producing these fine wines.
