Simply put...wine is fermented juice squeezed from Vinifera Grapes. Whites wines
have the skins removed early after the crush, Rose, or
Blush wines, have the skins removed shortly after crush,
and Reds get their dark, rich color from being in contact with the skins for a much longer period of time. The combination of yeast and sugar fermentation creates the alcohol. The
greater the amount of sugar and yeast, the higher the alcohol content. White wine is typically aged in stainless steel tanks, Some find their way into oak barrels to expand
their complexity. Red wines are aged in oak barrels
to expand their aroma and flavor. The best wines balance everything the grape has to offer – appearance, aroma, fruit, acidity, dryness, flavor, structure and finish. When it all comes together,
it is a wonderful experience. And, you don't need to be an expert to enjoy it.
